WHO WE ARE

The National Financial Literacy Programme is comprised of a network of organizations, associations and individual citizens with an interest in providing the nation with knowledge essential for the exercise of wise financial (and economic) practices.

The programme is made up of different ‘sector committees’ which are directly responsible for putting together and carrying out the program within the respective sectors of Trinidad and Tobago. Each sector committee is supported by one or more working groups whose responsibilities include structuring and developing the program content for the respective sectors. These sector committees and working groups are supervised by a Management Committee whose purpose is to guide and monitor the sector committees. The Management Committee consists of the following members from various organizations:

  • Central Bank
  • The Financial Services Ombudsman
  • Tobago House of Assembly
  • The Ministry of Community Development Culture and Gender Affairs
  • The Ministry of Education
  • SERVOL
  • Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation
  • Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce
  • Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies
